Biography

Dr. Hamann currently serves as the Graduate Program Director for the Department of Political Science and she is the program advisor for the interdisciplinary minor in European Studies. She is the coordinator for UCF CASTL, UCF's designation as a Carnegie Academy for the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning institution, with a focus on undergraduate research.

In 2008, Dr. Hamann was selected as the recipient of the UCF Excellence in Undergraduate Teaching Award (campus-wide). She previously won numerous other teaching awards, an Excellence in Professional Service Award (campus-wide), a Research Incentive Award, and a university-wide Scholarship of Teaching and Learning Award. She was a Fellow in the Teaching Academy (College of Education, spring 2007) and was selected as a Provost's Senior Faculty Fellow (2005-2006). She also served as a Faculty Fellow to the Faculty Center for Teaching and Learning.
